Maybe not everybody knows but there is a fantastic Immigrant Entrepreneur Training Program run by Immigrant Service Guelph Wellington. It’s organized in cooperation with Business Center and the most important is that it’s for free for participants.

It’s built from 3 blocks: 8 in class sessions with a good overview of business basics which includes: marketing plan, sale presentation, forecasting, small business financials, primary and secondary market research, market analysis, rules, and regulations. The second block is all about business communication and this block is an individual one on one work and consultation where you have an opportunity to build your business plan and cash flow. Don’t you think it sounds amazing?!

I’m proud to say that I have completed this course last year and got tons of very useful knowledge and fantastic support to finalize my goals. It has allowed me to move my business to another level, add services and have better control over planning and spending. For those who are just starting with your business or already started, but feel overwhelmed and would like to have some support and direction, this is a great place to start.

A few days ago, Immigrant Services has organized a Graduation Night for two of the last year groups who have completed the Immigrant Entrepreneur Training Program. We have all received certificates of accomplishment and I was very honoured to be a guest speaker and talk about how my business has evolved and how this training gave me an opportunity to build my network and keep myself accountable for my success.
