Childhood to Adulthood:
Kate attended the most fantastic art school: her Father’s Art Studio in the garage of their home! Since she was little, she watched him paint, (mostly in oils), drawing, planning compositions and pallets of colors. When Kate was 6 years old, her father started giving her first art classes. They were practicing every day and by the age of 10, Kate completed the first unforgettable painting of “still life”. Kate was so proud and from that day she knew that Art is the love of her life and each drawing or painting brought her much happiness and pride. By the age of 17, Kate was already well known in her town as an artist and her art pieces were sold for the highest price at the local Art Charity Fest.
Kate also attended an Art Club at the local community center where she was teacher’s assistant and participated in the education of younger children.
Is hard to believe that Kate did not take Arts as her University major! Is interesting to note that she never gave up art, and in fact during these times, she painted more than ever. By the time she was 23, she received the biggest accomplishment – her father told Kate that she outgrew her Master!
Kate’s Economics degree with a specialty in logistics took her to Aberdeen in Scotland where she attended Art courses at Aberdeen College and got some exposure to local artists and small art shows.
From Scotland, Kate spent 2 years in Dubai, and then Kate and her family moved to Canada. While in Dubai, Kate focused on smaller projects using acrylic on paper, and watercolors. It is here, where Kate developed new skills and enlarged her medium portfolio.
